How can I open SSY account?
Opening a SSY
account is a fairly simple process. The government has authorized various Banks
and Post Offices where you can open the account under this scheme. There is not
much documentation needed in normal cases. Here is a list of documents required for the scheme:
- Certificate of Birth of the Girl child
- Proof of Address of parents/guardians
- Proof of identity of the parents/guardian
So, in all, just
three basic documents are required to open the girl child’s account.
