How to Pay Self Assessment Tax online
Steps to Pay Self Assessment Tax Online
Step 1:

For
Self Assessment Tax payment, click
on proceed button of Challan No: 280
as highlighted in red
Step 3:
Fill in the
details of Challan 280
- Select tax applicable: Select the option “(0021) Income Tax (Other than Companies)
- Select the type of payment: Select the option “(300) Self Assessment Tax”
iii. Select the Mode of Payment:
- Select the Mode of Payment from Net Banking or Debit Card and select the Bank Name from Drop Down List.
iv. Enter PAN No and Select the Assessment Year:
- Enter the PAN Number
- Select the Assessment Year from the Drop Down List
v. Enter the Address, Mobile No and Email ID
vi. Enter the Captcha Code and click on Proceed Button
Step 4 - Confirmation Page
- On
submission of data as per Step 3 the Confirmation page will appear.
- Recheck
the details and if any changes are
required then click on the “Edit”
Button at the bottom of Page to go
back to Step 3.
- If
details are correct then click on “I
agree” Check Box and then click on “Submit to the Bank” Tab.
- You will be directed to the Bank Page
Step 5:
- Enter the Tax Details and make the Payment online
- Enter the Tax Details and press the Submit Button
- Based on the selection of Mode of Payment option in Step 3
- You will be directed to enter:-
- Bank Login Credential (For Internet Banking) or
- Debit Card Details (For Debit card)
Step 6 - Download Tax
Payment Challan
- On
successful payment transaction the Tax paid
challan will be generated on screen.
- Option
will be available to Save the challan in
the PDF Format.
- Always save the challan in PDF format for future reference
