  1. Any interest income received from saving bank account, FD/RD, income tax refund or any other mode.
  2. You can avail the benefit of Rs 10,000 U/S 80TTA from saving bank interest if age is below 60.
  3. If you are a senior citizen u can avail the benefit of Rs 50,000 U/S 80TTB on saving bank interest and interest from FD and RD
  4. Income interest from PPF(Public Provident Fund) is exempt interest.
